T.G.I.F. is a series of stuff I do on weekends. Of stuff you can do on your weekend too. Posted every Friday morning.
Steph and I had some dramatic moments before we moved while trying to find things for our apartment. We were on a budget and I’m really picky (and Steph’s really picky about weird things like vacuums) and there may have been a moment in the Target bath section where I almost lost it over shower curtains. We still don’t have one.
Anyhow, we needed a toothbrush holder, but the store only had ugly ones and ugly ones for like $6. That won’t do. So, I improvised, found a cute mug at a thrift store for 75 cents, and christened it our toothbrush holder. I thought it needed some spicing up, so I decided to paint and add some glitter.
Here is a short and obvious DIY:
First. Clean out your mug and paint the inside your prefer color with acrylic paint.
And then when that dries, paint Mod Podge in it, and dump a bunch of glitter inside.
Let it dry. And then put your toothbrushes, plastic skeletons, and doll heads on sticks inside.
The doll is named Chloe. And that’s Mr. Bones. Our apartment is a kind of weird place.
Happy weekend! <3
Really great idea, love the colors.
